Packmate commits to professional karting sponsorship

As the UK’s leading supplier of vacuum pack storage bags, we believe it’s important to support young people in their careers. That’s why, we at Packmate have committed to sponsoring two young, aspiring karters.

Teammates Cameron Pratt-Thompson and current British Kart Champion Macauley Bishop are flying the flag for Packmate this year.

Big names in the Juniors Category, Cam and Macauley will be wearing race suits sponsored by the brand. Packmate has also sponsored their sticker kits and the branding will feature pride of place on the centre of both kart’s nose cones.

MD at Packmate Duncan Pratt-Thomson is Cameron’s dad and has committed to supporting the team, (Paul Munn Racing) – which was once George Russell’s team.

Duncan said: “Packmate is proud to be sponsoring Cameron Pratt-Thompson and Macauley Bishop for the 2021 season. We saw this as a great opportunity to support two young and committed drivers on their journey towards a career in motorsport. From spending time with the team we can see how this sport helps young people develop skills, not just on the track, but in everyday life which will be valuable for their futures.”

It’s a busy summer ahead for the team with intense training, testing every weekend and a packed competition schedule.

Cameron has a rigorous routine with Dan Ticktum’s personal trainer, (Dean Fouache) and Sebastian Vettel’s performance coach (David McMillan).

Macauley will be working hard to maintain his title in the Mini X30 British Kart Championship, and both will also be competing in the Little Green Man series as well as the Ultimate Karting Championship.
